Hello,

I felt like printing yesterday  – somethings summer-y so along came these !

I came up with this fun station-wagon-family-vacation print. I’ve got it in my head to do a series of retro cars … in traffic maybe?

I think secretly I would love a big old station wagon like this one day. Maybe a 1960’s Ford Country Squire…

Also, what would summer be without out a retro-looking lawn chair ?

This was fun.

I also got a new set of promotional-post cards in the mail today ! To be sent out soon!

What’s Up!?

Hey, What’s going on with you? Well, I’m so glad you asked, here’s what’s going on with me : I was featured in Parade Magazine’s Memorial Day Weekend issue. This was the one weekend the magazine decided not to show up with our newspaper. So I did some asking around to get myself a copy! Thank you everyone! This job was one nighter RUSH job, so much fun. I printed like a madwoman.

I did a Memorial Day Weekend mailing because — I love America. Not in the  hipster ‘meuuurica kinda of way, in the genuine, I love history channel, and hearing veterans stories about war, and thankful for my freedom, kind of way. I printed my own postcards for the first time. Also, like most of my mailings, I walked them  up the hill to the mailbox — because I think it helps send out good vibes.

In the midst of all of this, I got a stomach virus, which sucked. But allowed me to spend more time with these two noodle heads, while I got better. Also, I’ve been experimenting with “grounding” or “earthing”.  Hence the no shoes picture!

Until next post, Hannah !

Week of January 13th

Hello All!

I’m happy to report I had a  productive week.

It was my birthday this past Monday! And in the true spirit of getting older, I put on my “big girl pants” and drove an hour away – out to the printmaking studio, where I am now a member.  I exposed some screens.

I made some cards, aiming to get some stuff in my Etsy shop by Valentines day.

Because I’m so excited about this, I wanted to share two of the cards here:

The phone card needs work, I have to re-expose some parts of it. i.e. around the curly cords.

the radio card shows the back and the front.

Also you have to imagine these cards with fun brightly colored envelopes! poppy-red and retro turquoise!

Next week I hope to get my new promo post cards in the mail :

I’m just waiting for them to get here!

I think this is going to be my last promo that I order from a print place for a while. I’m going to try and print my own postcards, now that I have access to an exposure unit.

So awesome.

Also I’m going to try and post every week between Wednesday and Friday, so be sure to check back!

Prints and Love,

Hannah

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

Christmas? What?

While I’m usually a grumpy Grinch this time of year, I decided to just embrace the crazy for once. In doing so, I have gone a little Christmas-Crazy early.

For the past week I’ve been printing some Christmas cookies for a promo-postcard …and here it is!

My hands a dry and cracked from all the time I spent cleaning out screens in the sink. It was well worth it! I’m so happy with this card, I can’t wait to get it in the mail in a week or so!

Now it’s time to clean up the studio… and start sketching to update my website.

Peace and Pizzelles,

Hannah
